10 Action Items That Lead You to Success

Successful people make shit happen! They don’t sit around waiting for things to happen. And they certainly don’t make excuses.

So rather than focusing on what you haven’t been doing, let’s start looking at what you can do – starting now!

  1. Exercise to start the day. Get up and get moving. This gives you the energy to keep you motivated throughout the day.
  2. Clear the clutter. Maintaining a peaceful and clear environment allows for peaceful and clear head-space. We are reflective beings, and our external circumstances often reflect what’s going on inside.
  3. Write down all of your goals. Study SMART goals and follow that outline. You have to be clear on where you’re headed.
  4. Create a daily schedule. Again, write it down. Don’t rely on your memory. Putting on a schedule makes it a more pressing commitment.
  5. Stop procrastinating. This is a huge waste of time. We often find other things to get into to keep from doing what we need. And eventually we have to get to what we need.
  6. Get dressed up and show up. This is about being present and prepared.
  7. Learn to say no. Understand the value of your time.
  8. Outsource the small stuff. If someone else can do it faster and for less money, let them.
  9. Touch everything once. Email, paper, etc. Do it, ditch it, or delegate it.
  10. Get a mentor or a coach. Get someone to help you navigate these waters, they’ve been there and can help you save time and resources finding your way.
